Artists are inspired by their natural & distinctive abilities to create. While expressive voices inside are sure to inspire, artists still must nurture their talents through experience and education, and by welcoming feedback from others.
The Department of Communication Studies proudly welcomes you to a free public screening of recent short films made by students in the Film and Media Arts program at UMKC, including narrative and documentary shorts, and more. Come see the great work being created by Kansas City’s future filmmakers.
The UMKC Student Media Showcase allows student filmmakers the opportunity to welcome feedback from an audience through a Q&A after the screening. This event will be influential for the students’ careers, and also allows guests a chance to be introduced to Kansas City‚Äôs film and media future.
