Hollywood in The Heartland

Martin Scorsese once said, “If your mother cooks Italian food, why should you go to a restaurant?” While Scorsese may have in fact been talking about food literally, we’ll use this expression as a metaphor for production in Kansas City.

We have the talent. We have the crew. We have the resources. We are “cooking the Italian food” right here in this city. So the questions remain, why are local productions taken out of town and why isn’t Hollywood knocking at our door?

One word. Incentive.

We already have the genius. Kansas City’s influential creative community proves to engage talented individuals from around the world. Now we’re determining incentive proposals. In short, we’re unwavering in our goal to enhance production capabilities in Kansas & Missouri.
