Acclaimed film historian and critic David Thomson speaks about the legacy of Alfred Hitchcock’s most important film, as detailed in his book The Moment of Psycho: How Alfred Hitchcock Taught America to Love Murder.

In the book, Thomson demonstrates how Psycho represented all America wanted from a film—and how it still does. He is the author of The New Autobiographical Dictionary of Film and Have You Seen…? A Personal Introduction to 1,000 Films.
